Barry Williams, Collier County Director Of Parks And Recreation, was our guest speaker for our first meeting of this season.

Mr. Williams brought a slide presentation which depicted many of Collier County's present and future parks. Popular parks, among to those who reside here as well as visitors, feature water attractions as well as walking trails, biking paths and wildlife watching.

One such park in the makings will be a short distance from VCC. The park will be located on Immokalee Road heading east near the Fair Grounds. The park is expected to cost 1o million dollars to complete and grants are in place to begin construction. Mr. Williams took questions at the conclusion of his presentation.

Two new members, Walter Eubanks and David Montgomery, were welcomed to our club. Our next meeting will be on December 8th.
