On November 11, Vanderbilt Country Club honored our veterans from past wars as well as those who presently serve. Cathi Hughes served as master of ceremony and should be commended for a fine job. John Granskog, a veteran and former officer, gave a moving speech and gave history on the first armistice beginning in WWI at which the guns were silenced at 11 am on the 11th day of the 11th month. John also spoke of all wars which followed.
Two ROTC students from Golden gate High School placed the beautiful wreath beneath the American flag. The Right Angle Club proudly donated the wreath for this ceremony.
